“This study will be a blow to any remaining climate-change deniers,” Lovejoy says. “Their two most convincing arguments – that the warming is natural in origin, and that the computer models are wrong – are either directly contradicted by this analysis, or simply do not apply to it.”

Why then does all the imperical evidence proove that it gotten cooler for the last 17 tears?

It hasn't gotten cooler in the Arctic. The old growth ice melt there is the reason the jet stream has become erratic, causing serious drought and heat in some areas of the world while causing excessive rainfall and storms in others. Climate change is not about global warming as much as it is about weather extremes which devastate farm crops in some areas while destroying entire communities with super storms in others.

Your inability or unwillingness to spell correctly, and failure to cite your empirical evidential source suggests you listen to too much talk radio.

OMG the sky is falling!!!

and ALMOST ALL the scientists agree, just like they all once agreed on so many facts, like the sun orbited the earth, or the earth was flat, and that malaria was caused by bad air! What ever happened to the scientific method, and studying all the evidence, instead of just that which supports your predetermined conclusion.

All together, lets panic and run about screaming, "the sky is falling!"

This presents several issues:

1. A study by a single scientist does not make an absolute conclusion.

2. The data he is using is from 1500 to the present. No one studying history would argue that the initial effects of the industrial revolution did not include massive pollution of the environment. It has only been during the last 5 or 6 decades that man has gotten serious about cleaning up his act.

3. If he is proven to be correct then perhaps people can stop arguing, whining and wringing their hands and come up with some solutions that actually work. Currently all we have are people arguing and rich guys like Gore getting richer by exploiting the situation.

The link you posted does not show the actual data, only the conclusions of the study.

The idea that when the weather is erratic, and changes take place that humans don't approve of are the cause of it is ridiculous.
Who is to say what is normal? and what are the "changes" that we have control over?
Fact is...we all need to stop breathing if you really want to do something about "global warming", "climate change" or whatever fashionable phrase that works for this Godless replacement for religion you liberal weenies are worshipping at. CO2 is a natural occurrence. All plants use CO2 daily to function and nightly release it themselves, so the plants themselves need to be held responsible half the time.
It is simply idiotic to torture ourselves over a political tool of human control that liberal politicians have created to harvest gullible sheep.
USE YOUR HEAD FOOLS!!!
The more CO2... the more plants will thrive to process it!
Get your head out of the MSNBC's propaganda machines ASS!

Former NASA Scientist: Global Warming Is 'Nonsense'
A prominent scientist and former NASA researcher has added his voice to those who challenge the "scientific fact" that manmade carbon emissions are causing global warming.
Dr. Leslie Woodcock is a professor emeritus of chemical thermodynamics at the University of Manchester in England, with a Ph.D. from the University of London, and served as a senior research consultant at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Laboratory in Ohio.
In an interview with Britain's Yorkshire Evening Post, Woodcock declared: "The theory of 'manmade climate change' is an unsubstantiated hypothesis.
"The theory is that CO2 emitted by burning fossil fuel causes 'global warming.' In fact, water is a much more powerful greenhouse gas and there is 20 times more of it in our atmosphere [than carbon dioxide].
"Carbon dioxide has been made out to be some kind of toxic gas but the truth is it's the gas of life. We breathe it out, plants breathe it in. The green lobby has created a do-good industry and it becomes a way of life, like a religion. I understand why people defend it when they have spent so long believing in it."
Woodcock is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, a founding editor of the journal Molecular Simulation, a recipient of a Max Planck Society Visiting Fellowship, and a former guest scientist at the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology.
He went on to say: "If you talk to real scientists who have no political interest, they will tell you there is nothing in global warming. It's an industry which creates vast amounts of money for some people.
"The temperature of the earth has been going up and down for millions of years. If there are extremes, it's nothing to do with carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, it's not permanent and it's not caused by us. Global warming is nonsense.
"It's become almost an industry, as a consequence of this professional misconduct by government advisers around the world."
But he added: "You can't blame ordinary people with little or no science education for wanting to be seen to be good citizens who care about their grandchildren's future and the environment."

Dr. Leslie Woodcock talks about Noah's Ark in describing historical weather changes in the Middle East. Can a person who believes in Bronze Age Fairy Tales be a competent scientist?

Dr. James Hansen was the head of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies from 1981 to 2013. This is a TED talk he gave in 2012. http://www.ted.com/talks/james_hansen_why_i_must_speak_out_about_climate_change#t-393742

Hansen believes in science, not a book of fables.

Godless heathen,
Apparently you don't have any clues about many issues.
Noahs Ark is well documented for many years to have been found where the Bible states it would be.

Interesting, indeed. Thanks. I am NOT one of the deniers. I just wish the world would open their eyes and get together in order to do something about it.

When you base your life on a book of fables, you will believe anything--even if it is as absurd as believing a pair of every animal on earth could be put into a boat the size of that geological formation shown on the website you linked.

A link at the bottom of the page will take you to a 40 page PDF of the original study, as well as an email to the author. If the paper is insufficient, you could request his data set.
