GE is Moving from Wisconsin . Keep your eye on Waukesha , Wisconsin
......Their biggest employer just moved out.

General Electric is planning to move its 115-year-old X-ray division from Waukesha, Wis. , to Beijing; (As in, "China" )

In addition to moving the headquarters, the company will invest $2 billion in China and train more than 65 engineers and create six research centers. This is the same GE that made $5.1 billion in the United States last year, but paid no taxes - the same company that employs more people overseas than it does in the United States .

So let me get this straight. President Obama appointed GE Chairman Jeff Immelt to head his commission on job creation (job czar). Immelt is supposed to help create jobs.

I guess the President forgot to tell him in which country he was supposed to be creating those jobs.

Thanks Jeff, you're a "real" American.... and give Obama our Best!

If this doesn't show you the total lack of leadership of this President, I don't know what does.

Please pass this information to others and think about it before you buy a GE product. (BTW....I stopped buying ANYTHING "GE" not too long after Immelt "took over". Guy's a POS IMO. )

I stopped buying anything from GE about 30 years ago for several reasons but this is just one more reason not to buy GE.

Because the Republicans in the House, where all spending legislation, per the Constitution, has to originate will do nothing to curb excessive Outsourcing. The current US tax code actually encouraged corporations (who are people you know) to move overseas and outsource jobs.

This division will now pay 0% taxes on all sales in the US because they headquarter in a foreign country.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/obama-support-for-ge-boeing-jpmorgan-doesnt-always-go-both-ways/2012/07/19/gJQAknCfwW_story.html

President Obama has repeatedly embraced three titans of American commerce, General Electric, Boeing and JPMorgan Chase, showering their chief executives with praise and adopting policies that benefit the companies.

His economic stimulus package awarded $200 million in contracts to GE, according to the company, and he has traveled the world selling Boeing airplanes — even joking that he should receive a gold watch for how many he has sold. Obama rejected calls from some economists to break up the biggest banks after the financial crisis, leaving JPMorgan, the biggest of them all, whole.

Look where he's from......"Taxifornia"! Probably votes for Pelosi, Feinstein and Gov. Moonbeam; he always has to say something stupid every time I post anything.....I pretty much just ignore him; (kinda like what poorly trained dogs do on public sidewalks......just walk around it or step over it.

It's happening in Canada, too. We have lost many industries, mostly to Mexico and China.

Are you serious? Obamas "job czar" moves his billion dollar operation to China and the Republicans are at fault? Only a liberal could come up with that logic.

Haven't you noticed that anything the House approves of, Harry Reid refuses to allow the Senate to vote on? Haven't you noticed that this one corrupt old fart has the entire government in a stranglehold?

This move by GE happened in 2011 and is hardly anything new.

Now if you want to go boycotting a company that moved a division to China, then get ready to limit your choices. GE's X-ray division isn't even a drop in the bucket.

Other "All American" companies that have moved a division to China include :

AT&T
American Eagle Outfitters
Apple Computer
Best Buy
Colgate-Palmolive
Dell Computer
Dial Corporation
Dodge
Eveready
Family Dollar Stores
FedEx
Ford Motors
General Foods International

General Motors
Goodrich Company
Goodyear Tire
Google
Harley Davidson
Heinz Foods
Home Depot
HP Computer
IBM
Intel Corporation
Johnson & Johnson
Kentucky Fried Chicken
K-Mart
Kohl's Corporation
Kraft Foods

You are correct. The question now becomes; Since Jeffery Immelt is apparently so ineffective as the "Jobs Czar" why hasn't he been replaced? For that matter why hasn't the "Mideast Peace Czar – George Mitchell" been questioned about Bengasi?

Most of these czars get no pay but the ones that do average over a $100,000 a year. What do they do?
