Let me see if I have this right.......

Ukraine buys almost all its energy (natural gas)from Russia. Revenues from natural gas sales are a primary source of income for Russia.

Because of the recent disagreement between Ukraine and Russia, Russia is raising the price of natural gas it sells to Ukraine.
Ukraine is almost broke and can’t afford the increase in the natural gas price because it would be forced into bankruptcy.

Obama(the USA) announces the United States is giving Ukraine $1 billion to assist in paying for the higher priced natural gas it buys from Russia.

So, the United States is actually giving Russia $1 billion because the money is just passing through Ukraine.

The first question: Has Putin figured out a way to raise the price of his natural gas sales and make the U.S. pay for the increase?

Next question: Was he really in the KGB or was he a commodities trader?

If this analysis is accurate, Putin just got Obama(the USA) to pay him $1 billion by holding a press conference and trucking some troops across town from the Russian Navy base in Ukraine.

Tell me, Who is the smartest guy in the room now?

This moron just urinated away a billion dollars of our tax money.

God Bless America!

But why are the Republicans itching all over to get into another war? At what point do we get war weary? Didn't we just waste a trillion dollars and a ton of American lives? What did we accomplish in Iraq? This whole thing about the Russians withholding information on one of the Boston bombers seems to be a bit odd. . . especially since they've known about that how long? It seems they're just ratcheting up the amount of propaganda and the number of lies just like they did six months before the Iraq war. And I'll tell you another thing I think. . . the president is just a frontman. He's just a puppet, mouthing what the people in the shadows want him to say. If Al Gore had been president, we still would have fought Iraq and Afghanistan. I just don't think it makes nearly as much difference who is president as most people think. Black puppet, white puppet. . . still a puppet.

Agree with waykee7. This is a drop in the bucket compared to funds dumped by previous administrations. By 2008, Bush had given 12 billion to Afghanistan, Iran and Israel.

Whoa there waykee7, I think you need to re-read the post, as your reading comprehension, and staying up with current events is certainly lacking! Just where in the post did it say the Republicans were intent on starting a war? (It's that reading comprehension thing I mentioned)! And just in case you haven't been paying attention, it's obama, our dear leader who has been war mongering and saber rattling, not the Republicans. (Again, keeping up with current events)! The post was simply pointing out how obama is bleeding our country dry with absurd foreign aid, and just exactly how naive and ill equipped he is as POTUS! Sheesh...

Once again Ambrose you and of course others... cannot, you just cannot, admit that our CURRENT president is doing his best to become GW Bush..... it is obvious since everything he does is ONLY because GW Bush did it before him.... You cannot speak with out blaming GW for what is going on... SO WHAT...he is no longer our president and our current president has done and is doing a HORRIBLE job of taking care of his own problems....

It's just what libs do, Mike; they ALWAYS "change the subject"..........then they "blame it all on George W. Bush" !
It's all they know! they all get this little "play book" from "Libtard Hdqs" telling them what to say; (which is why they ALL say the same old, same old, every time. )

Is it necessary to descend insults when you disagree (Libtard Hdqs)? I wore my country's uniform for 29 years. I retired at the rank of Navy Captain. I think there's a place for manners and civility. People fight when their arguments fail. The arguments of the Republicans have failed for two generations. The Republicans keep chanting we're #1. We're #1. In fact, we're about #20, and it's mostly, though not all, the result of Republican policy. Both sides are dogmatic, and both sides the the aisle are purchased wholesale by Big Money. And Republicans are applauding the McCutcheon ruling by the Supreme Court and I see it as selling off the remaining shred of what remained of the democracy.
