Roche Pharmaceuticals made millions selling Tamiflu as an anti-flu medication. They tested it and said it would work. Well, surprise, surprise.

I've read several articles like this lately.

Jerry… I had what the doc said was the flu for about 5 days. She prescribed TamiFlu and even though you're supposed to take it in the first 2-3 days of the flu, it worked wonders for me. I felt better within 24 hours. who knows?

I know. Lets have less government regulation. That'll result in good, honest business practices!

This article was from England, but the govt. relies on drug companies to monitor themselves and test their drugs. It would he nice to have a disinterested party test them.

I always read the comments at the bottom of any web site, well almost always, and they were interesting, Jerry.

Oh, and again I'm sorry for talking to pounder on your Hulu thread.

Jerry… the FDA regulates all drug (prescription) advertising very stringently. After working in the pharma advertising field for over 35 years I know this to be true. It takes about 3-7 years for the FDA to approve a drug, then it monitors it's promotion to doctors and the public. A few companies "sneak through" a drug with false statistics and clinical trials to the FDA, but mostly it's a highly regulated environment.
