Eaglet/Eagle chick/Baby eagle

Lots of names for these little guys/gals so take your pick. The eagles nests are so high in the trees and so deep it is hard to ever get a decent photo of little rascals. If you download and look close there are two eaglets in this nest. One is being fed and you can barely see the top of it's head and the other is waiting it's turn for lunch. TNmike

Nice picture. I haven't seen many eaglets.

James, just for a reference this was at the 1st nest that your photography club saw when you went on the river levee. When you were here they were sitting on the eggs and I know that some of your group was able to get an 'eagle on the nest' shot. TNmike

Thanks wmarcoux!! It's hard to get a photo of the little ones at this stage. The nest are so high and deep even the adults can be there and completely hidden. TNmike

Thanks Linda!! As the trees leaf out it will be difficult to see the nest but hopefully I'll be able to get a few photos. TNmike

Good to know, I'll check my images. But seems like most nests we encounter where at some distance. Hope your doing well...sure miss that area.

Thanks sailorsmom!! Their little heads pop up and down so fast it's hard to get a photo, especially when they are this small. TNmike
