Those of you who have been here a while know that I am a conservative. As your conservative brother I must tell you that these kinds of comments serve no purpose whatsoever and only serve to further divide us as a people. Give me one example of a positive that can come from a thread that is there to simply insult and defame other patriotic Americans. Yes they have a different ideology and many of us fought and lost loved ones to protect everyone's dignity. If we ever hope to bring America back to all her glory it will take all of America and all Americans working together to make that happen. Threads like this only serve to make that unity impossible. I am one conservative who finds this thread embarrassing.

So I assume by this that in your world you have no liberal friends, at least none that you respect. That just doesn't make sense to me. I grew up with one parent a staunch Democrat the other a staunch Republican and yes it did get interesting around home at election time but at the same time I learned that two people can differ and still love and respect one another. Your comments make you appear to be a control freak with the attitude that it's your way or the high way. If that's who you are so be it but I truly don't think that is the norm.

What he has done and is trying to do to this country, along with his minions, is the most unpatriotic activity I have ever seen and, in my humble opinion, he should be impeached and removed from office. As long as he, along with Reid, Pelosi, Biden, et al, continue to ignore our Constitution, there will never be unity. I am sorry for your embarrassment but I question the patriotism of all those low information voters that elected these miscreants into office. Keep in mind that as long as there are more takers than makers in this country there will never be a unity which you are hoping for. I don't question your ideology only your approach to the opposition. Do you really think this kind of mud slinging can lead to cooperation and unity? Maybe my life experience is just enough different than yours but I have friends of both ideologies and we can discuss our differences without calling each other names and at the end of the night we agree to disagree and remain friends. Maybe my life just isn't so burdened with politics and fear.

To each his own. I have a few liberal friends, not many, we argue politics all the time but it interesting to note that in recent times they have begun to acknowledge that they erred in voting for the present incumbent and everyone of them are against the Unaffordable Care Act. Mud slinging has been the norm of politics since day one and your evangelical attitude will not solve the problems of today. I have a fear, not for myself, but for my children and grandchildren. They are inheriting a helluva of a mess which I blame both parties and independents for. If a company operated the way this government does they would be bankrupt in no time flat. We need to make major changes in how we run this country and if I have to insult every damned politician in this country to effect change I will happily do so. :hunf:

If he supports the current administration I would be very surprised. My great grandfather fought in the Boer War, My grandfather in WW1, my father and uncle in WW2 and my son fought in the US Army in Operation Desert Storm. I have friends who fought in the Korean and Vietnam wars and I have the utmost respect and admiration for all servicemen and women. I thank your friend for his service to our country and I am sure that he would not consider the present CIC a friend to our military. Frankly, I think it in poor taste that you would bring him into this discussion when he comes from a different era which had a different set of values.
