We've had our share of rain lately and lots of flooding so today as I was leaving the house, we have egrets hanging about everywhere because of the flooding. They never just walk around the road like they are doing now. But, it is the overflow of a major waterway, swamp and river bottoms.

I can see the raindrops splashing in the water.
Yes, it was raining when I took these photos. But, I was in my Jeep where it was dry. I would drive by and stick my camera out the window hoping to get a good shot because I couldn't slow down because of traffic and I would turn around and drive back by again. They get nervous and fly if you stop or go real slow, plus the traffic behind me, 4 dogs in Jeep with me barking, raining, and it made for a rather fun but nerve racking time. So, these shots are out of my Jeep window while driving by about 45 mph.

I'm surprised you could get any shots at all under those conditions.
And they say men can't multi-task! Nice shots. There is a McDonald's in Naples with some resident Egrets that hang out on the cars waiting for snacks!

Of course we can, just not as well as women can multitask.
Thanks guys, so down there they have figured out where the food is. I didn't realize they were social at all. But, I guess we all are when it comes to a free meal.
