Just Rustin' Away.....
This old tanker as I call it still sits where it has for as long as I can remember. It never fails when I travel that old road... I always take a look or even stop to capture another photo of this rustin' away piece of history.
Hope ya like it...............

Very Nice shot .. the sepia does it justice.. well done.
Thank you very much. I thought the very same thing about it.
You know what? I just thought of something. Everyone tries to create sepia or convert on something old like this truck or an old barn or house. Stuff like that.
An original photo that has truly yellow is old and the subject matter in it is not.
Therefore, should we not take pictures of old stuff and leave them in color? Should we not, when wanting a sepia effect shoot something like a 2008 Taurus instead? This way, in many years, since it is digital, it's already done.
Just a thought.
I would like to see your past photo's of this truck and in color different seasons. I do like this one tho very much.
love shots like this in B&W.....this one is no exception

I like it!!! But I think I would like it in a nice rich black and white also! Nice work.
What a shame. More history fading away. That's when they actually built vehicles that people could repair themselves and not cost as much. Nice photo

Sure they didnt cost as much, my old man bought a 66 Caprice in 1966 new off the lot for 2700 bucks, the cost of a tranmission repair these days, then again the cost of living aand wages were MUCH lower, Our house was the last one on the street to get cable and the old man HOWLED at the thought of paying 10 bucks a MONTH for cable, why we have a perfctly good antenna on the roof!~

Bill..... I am not for sure just what kind of tanker it is. It sits along hwy 5 north in northern Missouri. Next time I travel up that old road I will stop and check it out a little more... heck maybe even take some more photos of it.
