This was taken of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, from the north end of Fort DeSoto, Fl. January , 2012
I'm not seeing a photo Judy.
I know the bridge well and I'd love to see your interpretation of it. (Dont hit the preview button after you load it, just hit send, it erases your photos).
Sunshine Skyway Bridge...maybe
Thanks!!! I think I got it now! 8-)

I live in Sarasota, and that is the Sunshine Skyway bridge. The fishing piers are the old bridge abutments left after the freighter ran into it during a storm and knocked down the south(?) bound bridge. Rebuilt as a suspension bridge.

Judy,
My wife and I live about 10 miles from Fort DeSoto and the Skyway Bridge. We love to go there toward evening and watch the sunset. Here are three photos from our many visits. All photos are unedited and taken with a Fujifilm EXR200 superzoom.
Storm moving in
Rainbow after storm
Looking west from the bridge at sunset
gwongl lovely...I love the weather here, and makes taking pictures, easy almost anytime of the day. I like early mornings and sunsets.
sorry, I am not used to the way to use this forum...but, in answer to your picture...this is probably one of the prettiest bridges to photograph..although, being from the San Francisco Bay area (orginally) I'm a little partical to the Golden Gate Bridge

That is one of my favorite bridges .... If you live near there you should go out around sunset and take it ... the way the lighting is on that bridge it looks like a sailboat from either end .... thanks for sharing.

You live in Sarasota and we haven't seen any photos of long boat key ??? The beaches in that Sarasota area and the most beautiful white sand beaches I've ever seen
Siesta Key Beach was voted the best beach in the United States in 2011. So you know my slice of paradise. I will share two sunsets.

Oh yeah I lived in St Pete for 30 years .... Love that first one ... really gorgeous .... now that you mention it long boat key was where I would drive the car too fast on that long stretch of straightaway LOL
Love the bridge and Siesta Key photos. We vacationed at The Colony on LBK until it "went 'south'". There are plans in place to redevelop it.
