Couldn't have expressed it better!
Yeah, what they said. Never saw a hummer's nest before, nevermind eggs and hatchlings. Thanks for sharing!
I've never seen a newborn before. Amazing sight, thank you for doing this Wendy.
captivating! I will watch for your updates. I cannot even envision how tiny these must be. I'd love for something to give perspective but I wouldn't know what that would be.
Thanks to all of you for taking a look. It certainly is fun! On my original post there is a link to info about hummingbirds. Take a look at it to learn more about them.
Carlysue, the nest is only 1 1/2 inches in diameter and the eggs are about the size of my little pinky fingernail!!
Just jaw-dropping amazing! Thank you :)
Thanks Linda! Looking at these little beings is fascinating!
Here are a couple more from today. I am trying to get pics of them with their tiny heads up in the air waiting for momma to feed them, but they seem to know the difference between me and her ;)
Being that they are so tiny, what predators would bother them?
They are smaller than a bee/wasp.
Awesome! I've never found a humming bird nest.
Fantastic work Wendy! Please continue this series as long as parents will allow!
