I have acquired a collection of old, mostly non-working cameras of all varieties, though mostly 35mm's from through the ages, that I am willing to pass on to someone who might want them for a collection. I haven't counted, but I suspect there are around 20+ of them. I hate to just throw them away, but I have no space for them. No charge--just pay the postage or shipping, and they're yours. Send me a personal message if you are interested or know of someone who might want them.

If the 35mm's are SLR's I would be interested. I donate cameras to the local school photography programs and am always looking for more. They do not allow point and shoot type cameras as they are pretty much automatic, the schools all require manual 35mm bodies and lenses.

Sounds like you're doing good work. Thanks for the offer, but there's only one SLR, and I'm thinking about keeping it. Thanks for asking, though.

Good Morning...

I would be interested in your collection. We recently purchased a second home and there is lots of room for display and I'd love to have some old cameras out for people to look at. May be even use some if they are working.

My address is:

Please let me know how to proceed.

Thanks

Jay,
My son and I are creating a "camera wall" for his house. I would be interested for display and posterity.

MTShooter is on point with useable SLR camera's. I teach at the local community college...(computer classes).

I buy and sell old SLR cameras. Plenty of inventory wasting away in closets out there.

I often take the basic, manual function SLR's to the B/W film classes at the college. Most of these classes are full and SRO with young, middle aged, and oldsters (I qualify) every term, all terms of the year.

The best camera's are the student rated cameras of the 60s/70s, which are simple, manual focus, simple meter cameras with full manual override on the meter.

Cameras that are the best for learning the Triad of exposure are Pentax K1000, Minolta X370, Pentax Spotmatics, and Canon AE100's, Nikon EM and FM (spendy). These cameras all use current battery technology, except the spotmatics.

I donate 3-5 camera's per quarter to the class. The instructor just loves to see me park outside the classroom.

Good point MTshooter. Best recycle program in photography. The desire to learn is almost as predictable as the resurgence in film photography.

I am quite happy that I can reinforce my retirement income with the growing desire to learn and shoot film, much as I do by preference.

I support the idea that digital should only be practiced by urologists and proctologists as indicated in my everchanging SIG line below.

It's not my collection; It was my brother's, who passed away. I'm helping out my sister-in law with some of his things.

Anywhere near Mishawaka where my mom was born? I was in Tucson in January and shot film and slides and am just now going digital. But I would still love the collection.

Let me know how must stuff an how much @ how much it should cost to ship. Thanks,

Jonathan
