I was standing in water about mid calf, following them, they let me get quite close gwr, so glad you enjoyed. Really appreciate your looking and kind comment, thanks

I hate to spook them. I rarely walk up on them. I find if i can drift closer in my boat. You fla. Guys have more trusting egrets! Thats great that you can get near them like that. We still havent got a lot of migratory birds yet. Just one osprey and the day he showed up we had a snow storm. He must've wondered what he got himself into!

We do have lots of skittish birds gwr, but if you move slowly and are quite, they feel you are of no harm to them and you can close. Out in the swamps and prairies as soon as you move they are gone. Lots of birds have left the area, I sure you will be seeing them soon.
