Osprey Landing and Take-off (Not the V22)

Sorry to disappoint the military personnel. This female Osprey put on a great show for me today. Overcast day, D7000 18-300mm f/18 1/1000 I was pleased with the results.

I've seen V-22s land, and the motions are eerily similar

Great shots. I experienced a gray overcast day recently ands the only way I could get any DOF was to pump up the ISO. If you don't mind, what was yours for these great shots?

I started out using ISO 2200 with Expo Mode set to Shutter Priority. For these pictures I dropped ISO down to 400 and was still able to shoot at 1/1000s and f/18. I was maybe 50-70 feet from the subject. I was really lucky to get these shoots.
