My mother left me with a bunch of old photos. One was taken on a family vacation 60 years ago where I am taking a picture. I scanned and cropped it for my avatar to the left.
Last week I found a camera that appears to be the same one for $15 in an antique mall. It sounds like it may still be in working order!
I may have to order a roll of film!

I'm just guessing, but it sure looks like an Ansco Sure Shot Jr. I still have mine. I bought it for $6.00 when I was in grade school.

I'll never forget the day I bought my shiny new Kodak Instamatic 104. Came with a box of film and one flash cube. I was 13 years old. Since then I've collected over a hundred vintage film cameras at auctions, thrift stores, eBay, yard sales, estate sales and as gifts from friends and relatives.
I've recently sold a lot of them off. They were just sitting in boxes, taking up space and I needed the money. I wanted a new Nikon and my kids want to eat THREE times a day!!!

My brain remembers fond use of a Kodak Brownie exactly like I recently bought. A closer look at the photo suggests a camera I don't remember using. Thank you for suggesting it could be an Ansco Sure Shot.
