I took this pic several years ago while shrimping with a friend in the Mobile Bay in south Alabama. I don't know what to do to improve this shot.

I like this photo just the way it is. Hooray, you actually have a nearly level horizon line. I'd brighten the shot a hair. Sorry for being so picky. Not intended as criticism.
Nice color and interest, not sure about the composition.
