Using a'nikon d3200 outdoors in the sun the LCD.screen is almost impossible to.see. Is there any kind of hood or
Screen that can be put over the LCD screen to make it more visible in the sun? Thanks for any help In advance.

I use a Hoodman HoodLoupe 3.0, which magnifies the image to check for correct focus as well as proper exposure.

Does this adhere permanently? Have you used it? I have shied away from the hoodman loupe because its one more thing to carry around.

Hi Tom, I use the viewfinder on my camera, or tilt the screen to a better angle. I hold the camera a waist level and look down to the screen which will now be in some shade and be easier to use.
Cheers,
John.

I use my viewfinder evf on my em1. One of the many benefits of a mirrorless camera.

This will make me seem like an idiot but.....
I have "transition" lenses in my glasses. I had gotten so used to them darkening and lightening by themselves that it took a while for it to finally dawn on me that when I was having the most trouble seeing the LCD, my glasses were almost black. DUH
I got a pair with plain lenses and.......much better.

I am ready for the caustic comments :)

Precisely why I can’t stand “point and shoots” which have no optical viewfinder. Those LCDs are impossible to see in the bright sunlight.

My HoodLoupe hangs around my neck, and I can easily place it to my LCD for quick viewing.
An elastic strap is also available to keep HoodLoupe positioned on LCD.

I wear glasses.. I depend on them to see. Bi-focals to add to my deficit. The Hoodman crap is WAY overpriced. Just geta cheap photodiox alternative. For example. If I purchased the Hoodman, view finder shade, I would pay $30. If I bought a Photodiox shade, it would cost me less than $10. They both work the same. It's up to you.

The HoodLoupe is more than a LCD shade. The 3x eyepiece allows photographer to adjustable focus for use on LCD, and magnifies image for precise evaluation of camera focus. I also wear glasses, and find the added magnification quite helpful, with or without glasses.
