My best House Finch shots for the last week.

These nine House Finch shots were taken over the last seven days in my back yard using our pear trees for a prop. The distance was 25-30 feet using the 600mm setting on my Tamron 150-600mm lens.

Your pictures are absolutely fabulous; so sharp, and with lovely colors.
Another great series of photographs. Are you using manual or automatic focus with the 150-600?
Thanks,

I agree, your shots are so beautiful and clear. Would you say that your Tamron lens is of the quality of the Canon L lenses?

Thank you, RegisG. I always use auto-focus. These birds won't sit still long enough for me to fuss with manual focus.

neco,
Yes, I believe this Tamron 150-600mm lens matches the Canon 'L' lenses quality. However, when you get into the Canon $10,000+ lenses then they will be slightly better. But even then, according to one lens critic, this Tamron lens can come as close as 95% in quality to these much more expensive lenses.
