I'm looking for a professional quality printer capable of printing at least 11x14 minimum and larger preferred. It must be portable enough to take on the road and print on site.

I use a H/P A646 that prints 4X6 and5X 7. it comes with a cary bag and I take it in my car. Can't beat for the price and the pictures are great. I bought it on line several years ago for $ 79.00. works great!

I occasionally haul my Canon Pro 9500 Mk 2 (13x19in printer) to remote sites (they have to have 120v available) by using either a large suitcase with wheels and room for paper and extra ink cartridges, or in one case a hand truck with a lot of other stuff. I don't recommend it though. It is difficult at best, and hard to deal with onlookers if you print in public. Besides, its risky for the equipment.
At one wedding I had the printer set up in a hotel room with an assistant printing soon after each round of shooting. The hosts requested it and paid handsomely for it. Having the prints behind the post-wedding reception was a huge hit, and sold a lot of prints. The bride's grandmother stole a couple though.

As a former Yankee myself, I appreciate your input. Still a New Yorker
at heart!

with the exception of the silver haired thief, it sounds like it was a successful
event dor you. i hope to have the same luck with the exception of the silver fox.
