One of the folks I work with in the ER lives in Valdez. He was showing us some pics last week - before this snow - of an adult size swing set with only the top 18 inches sticking out of the snow and another of a birdfeeder on a post that now has small animals walking up to and eating out of at "snow level".

I just finished blowing the 6 inches we got here in Chugiak so I can get to work tonight. Snow is purty but I don't need 1000 inches a year of it.

Gee! I was blowing leaves off my driveway today! Lucky you to have all that snow to play in!

Guess this is why we are having a record breaking drought! Apparently, we're having an "El Nina" bubble of warm air that is forcing all our moisture further North.

Crater Lake (our snow pac) should be at about 60" and it's only at 14"....The weather has been warm, sunny and wonderful...BUT WE NEED THE MOISTURE

WOW...stay warm and safe....

and pray we get some of this or we won't have irrigation water for our crops this summer....

Yes, I guess a lot of the lower 48 states are having warmer than normal weather and many places are experiencing drought conditions. One reason I love this site...you get a glimpse of all these wonderful divergent areas people live in.
