I was in lower bucks county last sat for a funeral. and on the way home I thought I would take a little detour to Bowman's Tower. I haven't been there for many years. Last time you had to climb many steps to the top. But thank God they have since installed an elevator. Don't know if this 83 year old man could make it to the top.

History-- Bowmans hill is part of Washintons crossing park Where Washington crossed the Delaware on december 25 1776 The park was created by the commonwealth of PENNSYLVANIA IN 1917. Bomans hill is where they had their lookout before the crossing. The tower was built in 1932 strictly for tourist. The hill was named after Tomas Bowman, an English merchant who conducted trade up and down the Delaware river in the 1600's
