A great blue heron takes off and then lands across the water. He was flying away from us as we approached too close.

Nice shots sleepydrdr, and difficult to capture. I've tried to get similar shots of the herons down here, but they're not as good as these.

Thanks HowardPepper! I took these in sports mode, and there are only 2 out of 10 that came out. You don't know how many shots went right to delete. I'm thankful for digital, I'd go broke with film.
