Fi;e structure I created in lightroom 5 is gone.

I'm using a Mac OS. I created a file structure in Lightroom mimicking what I have in the finder -Year - month- topic. This whole structure has disappeared. Under catalog on left side of lightroom I have all photos. Going to the backup of;der and clicking on a backup didn't change anything. any advice is appreciated. Besides backing up my catalog my computer is backed up on time machine. any Ideas?

Not sure what you mean by "Gone" Do you mine the files are still there in Finder, but LR no longer has them listed in its catalog? Or do you mean the files themselves are missing, but LR still has them listed in its Catalog?

But try looking under "Folders", not catalog on the left and see if they are there. Then drop down your Drive name and path to the files.

Don't you just love how Adobe products 'manage' files!

I do almost all my initial sorting and selecting in FastStone - highly recommended.
