Joke-U.S. Students lag behind...
A seventh grade history teacher was quizzing students on famous quotations. Who said "Give me liberty or give me death." A little Japanese student was the only respondent: "Patrick Henry in March of 1775!" Next question was who said "I have not yet begun to fight." Again, the only answer came from the little Japanese girl: "John Paul Jones in September of 1779." More questions followed and again and again the only answers came from the foreign student The teacher admonished the other students by pointing out that it was embarrassing that a the only person who knew anything about American history was a Japanese student and how ashamed they should feel. From the back of the room, in a low voice, someone said "F the Japanese!" "Who said that?" the teacher hollered. Came the reply: "Harry Truman, December 1941."
:) :) :) :) Thanks, Dave!
