One step at a time. Let's start with the easiest thing to correct. :D
Just wait til photoshop meets 3d printer.
I work at an architect firm and we already have had some renderings done using 3D printers. The problem with the final product is that some of the models are so delicate you can't touch them. The slightest touch in any certain area results in getting out the crazy glue and praying. As things progress and different and stronger materials are used, I'm sure it will improve. But, at this time it seems to be the best solution for certain client presentations. It's not cheap either.
