Hello from Michigan's Upper Peninsula

Just an old retired guy who has loved photography for 7 years or so and am a big fan of Canon Equipment. My wife & I travel when we can save up the money to do so and love the National Parks, where ever they are. My first photos here are from Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore that is not far from our home in Traunik. As you can tell I'm a Landscape guy, great hobby.

welcome from a former LP guy(big rapids) now living where our winters drop to a bone chilling 70 degrees . I tell you its rough man. I swear i can see ice forming on my pina colada!!! This is a great site friendly people and some awesome photographers including one in Marqutte named Yooper. I m sure he will say hello eh to you. I love how vivid your colors are. HDR, polarizing filter, software, or God blessing Michiganians by reminding them to thank God you are not in Ohio?

Yes, welcome to the group Photosbywick! I too am from Michigan..now hold your hand up and point to the crotch of the thumb! That's just about where I come from. Michigan does have alot of beautiful places for photo ops. And you did a great job capturing them! Just beautiful!

Spent a lot of years in a uniform very similar to the one you have on. Always worked with a great bunch of Officers, many very good memories.

Thank You, used to live in Detroit, born there and retired from there. Many nice people live there, I like it in the woods better.

It really is a nice place, when you get to Munising take the Pictured Rocks Cruise, later the Glass Bottom Ship Wreck Cruise, I know I sound like a commercial but both are worth your time and fee's.
