The only thing this tripod needs is a camera.

I would love to do underwater photography. But several things are holding me back. 1. No money for the equipment and 2 (and this might be more of a problem than 1) I'm terrified of being under water in the ocean or even a lake. Watched too many scary movies when I was young. lol!

Oh, I love the water, too, but it can be a dangerous and scary place. I learned to love it from the surface, when fishing as a kid on the Bayous of New Orleans.

No one gonna get me to descend to the depths of the Marianna trench (-39,9934 feet), the deepest point in all oceans. LOL

Hell, having been on the Bayous around N.O., Gulfport, Biloxi, no one is going to get me under water in those. Ha.

Yes, indeed, there are some big mean critters dwelling in those waters.

Get a go-pro… I'm not dunking my D800 in the salt… and I am a advanced certified diver, swam very competitively for 8 years, and vacation isn';t vacation if i am not on, in or under the water… LOL

Go-pro's COME with an underwater housing and if it should fail, well, I'd cry… but I would't cry so much as I would my d800...

I too have always loved the water, so I can relate to what you say, but I am just an amateur half-way good swimmer. I just looked up "Go-Pro" and now I have learned something new. Thanks
