Perfect description of the liberal mind. Show them facts and logic and they cannot take it. They have a conniption fit and go into a complete tail spin. Facts do not count when you can have emotion. They are so acutely myopic they cannot see further than three feet away. Related closely to why obama is such a miserable failure as president. obama sees the world the way he wants it to be, not the way it is. All emotion. It's funny you said "obama sees the world the way he wants it to be, not the way it is". I've been saying for years that rank and file liberals (not the political operatives) see the world the way they want it to be, not the way it is. They want to believe they can fix everything through government, but they can't. Conservatives on the other hand, see the world as it is. We understand the best results for the most people happen when the government's role in our lives is limited, when our liberties are secure and individual efforts are not penalized but encouraged !

Very well said on your part sir. You point out what is for me probably the most disturbing thing that is happening to our culture. It seems that today not only is success penalized but it is also criticized. The left seems to believe that guaranteeing equal outcome is more important than guaranteeing equal opportunity. Just that by itself will erase our freedoms. Slowly but predictably. Freedom by it's very definition breeds inequality for the simple reason that we are not all the same. I fear for the future of our country. The left has been very successful with this division and class warfare and we have probably passed the point where the takers now outnumber the producers. It will be very difficult to reverse close to half the population voting themselves benefits and money from the treasury. When I think about this I always think of one of the things Mrs. Thatcher said, to paraphrase; "what will they do when they run out of other people's money"? What will they do? That is the really scary thought.

That is why liberals built the nation by having the foresight to build dams, lay highways, fund land for railways, make sure we have ports, canals and airports. Had public education and land grant colleges. All things that should have been and are.

Now just what did the republicans give us?

The Great Depression and the Great Recession and since OBama has been in office unemployment!
