The package was sitting on our porch...why can't they ring the bell? Anyway, the FZ arrived 2 days early, is now unboxed and warming up (it's cold outside, baby!). Am I excited...you bet!

As noted in your other post... and to other FZ200 users:

I can't say this enough: GRAHAM HOUGHTON is your new best friend. You Tube.

I've had mine since November and love it. I heard a commotion yesterday morning in the back yard. This guy was screaming at a squirrel. I was in the house, grabbed the camera off the dining room table and shot this through half the house and the open sliding door. Literally a snap shot. Auto, right off the SD card.

I loved my FZ200, with 170 page Manual...but then moved up to Lumix GX7. 370 page manual...talk about a Learning Curve.
Is sure other stores provide it, but I enjoy going to Staples and have them print these Manuals.

Pest of luck with your smart purchase. I enjoy mine and have it for 1 1/2 years and still learning what it can do. Graham Houghton is bookmarked on my computer. The 220 page manual can be a little overwhelming. I made a small note book that I keep in my camera's backpack and refer to it as needed.

It's tack sharp at 600mm, great. You are motivating me to use AUTO more often.

Thanks! Most of the time I shoot in Aperture or Manual because I like to play with the RAW files that you don't get in Auto but all the settings were for shooting Orion the night before so I just flipped it into iA and snapped. It's crazy but that was probably the fastest picture I've taken with the FZ and probably one of the best... Hmmm.

Grampy, you're going to love it!
