I purchased Elements 12 yesterday from Office Max. I need to go on line to retrieve my activation code. I can't find anywhere on line to get it. Adobe charges by the hour for Elements tech support. Does anyone have the link for the activation site?
Thank you for your help.

The code on the package is a product number to be used to get the activation code from Adobe. It is a sealed code package.

Not familiar with that software but usually software asks about registration but you should have some kind of key code on the package. You need this for registration. Just like widows software. I did buy a product which needed a driver from office max. If you go on their website you can be directed to their support site. Maybe what you want is there. They will ask for some information on your purchase so have your receipt ready.

That's not it either. I called Office Max. They said I need to go on line to Adobe, find the registration page, enter the Product # from my box, and c&p the registration code. From the Adobe forums I see that Elements 12 purchased from Office Max & Best buy use this method of registration and there are plenty of people having problems obtaining the registration #. I didn't see any solutions. Most returned their product & purchased it on line. I thought maybe someone on UHH had the same problem.

Have you installed the program successfully to your computer? If yes, check the drop-down "help" menu for a place to "activate."

Also, here's some info:

On my box they're the 'scan to activate' the product at the store. Then I'm supposed to get the activation code from Adobe by using that #. The activation code box can accept 20 numbers. The code on the box is 30. It's called a locked box. It's activated at the store to get the code from Adobe. I was told at the checkout and again on the phone with Office Max this morning. If the store doesn't scan to activate the code on the box I wouldn't be able to get an activation code from Adobe.

If you got the box with the cd/dvd at the store it should have the following card in the materials in the box. On the back side is a code of 24 numbers in 4 digit groups. You create an Adobe ID and use the 24 digit code on the back of this card to get the activation code for elements 12.

code retrieval card

Thank you everyone for trying to help. I have the solution. A code card should have been in the box. I am able to swap out this box for a replacement at Office Max.

I've used this link without ever being charged to have online help from Adobe.
