This is from a train museum in San Diego. HDR try.
HDR Train Engine
It's high dynamic range. You take 3 to five bracketed photos and then merge them together. In my case I use a program called Photomatix. When you pull it into the program you have a wide variety of things you can do, from very subtle, to grunge looking.
Very nice finished product.
LOVE trains! Nice way to process a great shot.
I do love the image! However, being born and raised in San Dieg, I admit ignorance as to the location of this particular museaum. I am aware of one located at the community of Campo, in San Diego County. Is this the location you are referring to?
Campo is the one. My brother in law had a food and wine tasting event there.
It feels like a step back in time. awsome photo.

Nice work ddrum. The old caboose in background is perfect complement to that rusty steam engine.
