I will be staying in Annapolis, MD for a week in April on a business trip. I have never been to the area and I am looking for insight on what I should go see to photograph.
I will be free on evenings, Monday through Thursday, April 14th to the 18th.

Any thoughts?

Robert's suggestions are spot on. The state capitol is interesting if the weather is nice. The dome is wood and I believe also the same structure now 200+ years later where George Washington resigned his commission from the army after the war.

You will be 22 miles away from the chesapeake bay bridge and not far from Baltimore and the Inner Harbour, beautiful area. in Annapolis with the water to the bay right there. Enjoy

I second all the above. You can also go to Sandy Point Park($5 entry)last exit before the Chesapeake Bay Bridge) and shoot sunrise.

I believe CJartist meant 22 minutes, not miles (at the most, more likely 15 minutes) to the Bridge

Will you be free for a few evenings at least. First I have been to Annapolis many times. At the foot of the Naval Academy Bridge is the Severn Inn. One of thr]e best Restaurants in the area. Directly across the Chesapeake from the Academy. Greak photo opportunities. Great sunset shots. Many boat photo shots in the area. Naval academy bridge is interesting photo in evening. By the way the Severn inn has outdoor seating. Don't miss the downtown aream Interesting archetechure. St jhons college is second oldest in the country, just down the street from the academy. Les Follis is best french restaurant in MD. on Ritchie HWY ask for directions or take a cab No photo opportunities here but worth it for the food. Hope this helps. Have a great time.

Thank you everyone for the input. Looks like I will be attempting to change hotels to Columbia. I need to get closer to my facility. I may drive down to Annapolis one evening, I really like getting pics of boats at sunset. I want to see Memorial bridge and possibly Arlington national cemetery.
