Thanks for this forum! I have been enjoying it every morning with my coffee since last summer when I discovered it while searching for information on my sx50hs. Reluctant to join because of certain negative posters but there are so many more good-hearted folks, here I am at last.

You just have to ignore the negative posters. There are a few but for the most part everyone is very nice and helpful. I finally got the nerve to post a few bird pics the other night. I don't have the expensive equipment or expertise but it's a great place to learn. Welcome!

Athanar, welcome to the hog. I hope you will just ignore the negative people here. Many of us "older" (not age wise I'm 77 years young, members) just consider the source and ignore or make fun of them. We have a great group who loves photography, and also kid each other. So, just have fun and looking forward to seeing some of your pictures.
