the actual real name of that moth is white lined sphinx moth. sometimes called a hummingbird moth. the real hummingbird moth is green on top white on the bottom and has clear wings. they actually look like a hummingbird

If you have ever seen those pesky tomato horn worms destroying leaves on your tomato plant, you've seen them. They become the sphinx moth which can fool you into thinking you are seeing a hummingbird. The sphinx moth loves the wild moonflowers on our farm, so I have to fight the hornworms.
