Thanks. S/he is a gray fox. First one I've seen in my backyard. See red foxes on occasion.

Well...I'll give my critique.

1.) There isn't a part that's in focus...it's all blurry. (or camera shake...not sure.)
The eyes HAVE to be in focus at least. You will get folks who will disagree, I'm fine with that but you have to do it...if nothing is in focus..it's a throwaway. (OR is this just a massively cropped shot where the resolution makes it appear that nothing is in focus??)

2.) The snow background "seems" to have a slight PP vignette...not sure but it looks that way.
In my opinion, vignetting a white background doesn't look good...it makes the snow look dirty.

3.) The framing is "off"...he's got his foot just about out of the photo and LOTS of head room...a crop and "extend" might be in order.

That's what i see.

I'm closer to agreeing with rpavich than the other posters. At first glance it's a cute shot but further examination shows blur due to?? Either the fox or the camera moved. The vignetting bothers me too. It's one of those near misses.

I agree with rpavich and sonya580, looks clean till you get up to 50% enlargement the starts looking like movement or focus. I personally would have gone for a greater DOF, but that's just a personal observation.

Thanks for the feedback. It is cropped. I did play with vignetting in LR. The snow is actually quite dirty in the backyard right now! The fox was moving and I had to shoot this through a window. It was one of those situations where I had to just grab the camera and click or get nothing at all. I will go back into the original and play some more with your suggestions in mind.

I think the blur is mostly the amount of crop. It was shot through a window (no choice) and s/he was walking toward the house. It was a shock to see it in the first place so I just went with it!

Shooting thru a window makes it look soft..
