Erv Loc: Medina Ohio

Went outside this morning to fill all the feeders. It was pretty early. As I was walking across the yard I saw this guy laying in the grass. He was very cold and didn't look to good. He has one eye missing. Took him in the house to get warm. Went back out and filled the feeders. When I got back in the house he was sitting with the cat.:) And me like a dummy didn't take any pictures.:( As soon as I sat down, he flew over to my shoulder.:) Got him to eat some seed and use an eye dropper to give him a drink. Put him back outside this afternoon. Now if he is around, he flies to my shoulder.:):)

That is a very touching story and sure he appreciated your kindness, do you still need to hand feed him or is he OK on his own? That pic with him and the cat would have bee great to see but you have it in your minds eye.

Hi Carole. He would eat the seed right out of my hand. And now he drinks out of a small cup. Fun to be able to help him. He isn't even afraid of Sammy out walking around.:) Now I am trying to see where he fly's too. Would like to see his nest.:):)
