Sent my D600 in to Nikon on February 28, as part of the free replacement deal. 21 days later I got it back. Installed. New shutter, with 5 added parts.
Also the filter was cleaned as was the entire camera. Total cost zero incl shipping both ways. Way to go Nikon.

Why is it that the Canon folks are the ones that bitch the most about Nikons' policies?

I bought that camera Nikon refurbished 6 months ago. Paid 1500.00
The deal included a 24-85 Nikon lens. Got the camera with a shutter count of 2. Figure I have about 1200.00 in a full frame 24mp camera. 3 weeks are easy exchange.
Still feel, way to go Nikon.

That is still a good comment.

It is required to contact Nikon to get shipping label via email. It looks to me like the folks in the east heard about the Nikon D600 shutter replacement at least 3 hours earlier than those of us on the west coast so the east coast repair facility was inundated with cameras. LOL! I live about 150 miles from Los Angeles. Shipped my D600 on a Friday and got it back the next Friday. I was surprised!

Got mine back today, gone 10 days total from UPS pick-up to drop-off time. That included 3 days shipping each way to El Segundo, a weekend, and the heavy drinking of St. Patty's Day!
The East coast facility services a LOT more camera owners and is always a bit slower turn-around. Those of us that are West of the Mississippi are lucky enough to get that service center working on our gear when needed.

Drinking and reading can cause severe nasal drip. It even comes out looking like iced tea.

Mine returned in three weeks also. Same repairs. I think I'll call it my D605.
