Continuous Ink Supply System for Epson 1400 printer

I recently purchased an Epson Stylus 1400 (prints up to 13 x 19) at a Goodwill Store for $29. I went to Amazon and bought a Continuous Ink Supply System for that printer for around $57. After watching several youtube videos, I installed the CISS and to my amazement it works! I got giddy because I reduced my ink cost by at least 75%. The only problem I have is that I am getting some banding (??) and was wondering if anyone had experience in this area? Any input is welcomed.

Thanks, Joel! I'm going to head up to Staples to get some. I'm completely out of ink!

I do not know your particular model, but banding is often caused by clogged nozzles on the printhead. The ,most frequent cause of clogged nozzles is aftermarket inks that are not made to manufacturers specifications, OR, a printer that has sat out of service for a long period of time and gets old ink dried in the printhead nozzles.
It sounds like your printer is potentially affected by both possibilities.
