On a sunny day in the middle of March with the temperature struggling to reach 20 degrees the sight of any blossom, even a pussywillow, would look beautiful to me.

I would go with #1, the colors just scream "look at me." It reminds me of a line from The Color Purple about pissing God off if you ignore a purple flower in a field....
