Not sure what you want...Aperture-The lens openingthrough which light passes. Aperture size is adjusted by opening or closing the lens diaphragm. Aperture is expressed in f-numbers such as f/8, f/5.6, and so on...!

Get the book "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson. You will be amazed at what you will learn from it.

I think the OP is referring to Aperture software - Apple's answer to Lightroom.
Maybe start browsing through the "Help" menus. I'm sure there are books and videos available - just try a search with Google.

My basic workflow is to make a backup of all the images; import them from the camera; tweak the exposure, white balance, etc.; add keywords; export/save. I use Lightroom, but tries Aperture - I seem to remember it being fairly intuitive.

Thanks. Yes Aperture Software is what I was looking for. Did not know if anyone has used any of their books and which one is best, or video?

I learned Aperture on lynda.com. The instructor is Derrick Story he does what I think is a nice job with the Aperture tutorial, it's an 8 hour video training module based on short videos ( most a few minutes long one that runs 16 minutes ). Each session gives you plenty of time to digest the newly presented material.

I use the book "Aperture 3 Portable Genius" a lot. You can find it at book stores and on line. Also as BigBear mentioned you can get on hands training at an Apple Store.

I have the book "Apple Pro Training Series: Aperture 3." A good tutorial. Comes with a CD of images that you can adjust following examples in the book. Available at Amazon:

I use Aperture all the time. There are books available for Aperture and I use them for reference. Mostly, I learned it by myself, just playing with it and checking out all its features. It's nice. You will like it once you learn it, but like anything else, it requires some practice.

Good luck with it.
