Some of you may remember my test model (always at the ready but never smilin'). Feeling in a dark mood and using only the room's ceiling light (a cluster of 3 compact fluorescent bulbs) I tried some low-key shots with my D5100, 35-80mm Vivitar lens, ISO 800, 1/40@f4. All processed with Picasa.

Blue light on neck from TV (Fox News of course)

Beautiful series. You did a great job. Any chance I could have her phone number? :D

Sorry...there is no phone in the closet where I keep her. ;-) Thanks for the nice compliment.

Thanks, Starshooter, and welcome again. Luv your star shots. Took an elective Astronomy course in college and can't remember a darn thing. ;-)

Nice lighting but, these images seem to have that too much post-processing "plastic" look to me. :D
I like all the different ways you photographed her. Nice subtle lighting. I do remember her as your avatar at one time. She hasn't aged a bit.

Ummmmm...she is plastic or plaster or...no, wait...I was plastered. But thanks for the compliment.

Thanks, James...good memory. Haven't seen any trip shots from you lately. Thought you might take a get-a-way trip in the winter. ;)
Oh my goodness. I just had a second look at these images. And, boy oh boy, did you ever put one over on me. I thought the model's plastic appearance was due to excessive post-processing.
Now, I clearly see that the frozen glassy-eyed gaze... the thousand-yard stare, if you will, is most certainly due to over-exposure to that faint blue light on her neck and, all of that light's toxic effects.
Quick, change the channel! She may yet be saved! Four hours of sustained exposure to MSNBC is just what she desperately needs. If not that, at least an hour of Comedy Central.

Fun shots...she seems low maintainance!
Thanks, Sirius & rlaugh, glad ya dropped by.
