The highest temp in Minnesota last year was 102F and the coldest was -28F. That's a 130 degree difference.

I'm guess I'm southernized.
We had a brief cold snap yesterday and temps went down to the 30's and I was FREEZING!
I wasn't sure temps much lower then that could support human life. :-o

That is why I am glad I don't live in Minnesota. My daughter went to school there for 5 years and was so glad to move to WA when she graduated.

The winter of 1996 the actual temp without the wind chill in Tower, Minnesota, was -60. Embarrass, Minnesota they thought it was colder but the mercury thermometer broke. It only got to -38 in Minneapolis that day.

It was SO cold there that the lawyers actually had their hands in their own pockets. Then it got so hot that a couple trees were fighting over the same dog.

My wife and I are from Minnesota and before we were married we would go swimming when it was 70. We've been in Texas 20+ years, now when we step outside and it is 70, we go back in and put a on a coat, not a jacket, a coat. Today it was in the high 70s.

Also the state that has more pro teams than wisconsin that can't get anywhere. (I have relative in MN and I live in WI and am a Packer fan so for me it is fun rivalry).

Up here in WI today, temps were from mid 40s to mid 50s. That sure doesn't happen much up here.
