Hooray! Nikon has completed the service on my D600 and has shipped it out. Expected delivery is this Tuesday. They had it at their facility 10 days. That's probably not all that bad considering they are most likely swimming in them now.
I hope they fixed the problem for you. Got a friend that just got the 610 and he loves it, seems they solved the oil problem in the new model. Please let us know if the problem is resolved after you get your baby back...
Mine arrived home Friday. It took 10 business days door to door. The AA filter is spotless and the shutter had an additional 1000+ clicks, so I assume it was thoroughly tested. I put another 250 shots on it yesterday and it is still spotless. Much better than I would have seen before. So far, I am very pleased.
The turn around time was much less than I expected. Mine came back last Monday or Tuesday. With the shutter mechanism replaced, it seems louder now when cycled.

You guys are lucky! My D-600 was received by Nikon on the 6th of March.(For the 4th time) and I havent heard a word from them
yet.
I am hopeful that they will respond to me this week. The camera was bought last Dec. and has spent more time at Nikon than at my place.
I received a letter from them the day before my camera arrived home. I expected an email since that was how they originally contacted me, and my email address was also in the enclosed documentation with the camera. I was about to call, when UPS notified me that I had a package on the way from them.

Sorry to hear this, Marvin. A sad testimonial to Nikon. I've seen where one on UHH got a D610 replacement for his D600. Maybe Nikon will do the same for you.
Hopefully You are correct.
Thanks for the good wishes
I purchased my d600 in November 2012 and have over 10,000 accutuations with never a problem with spots of any kind. However, I took advantage of the Nixon offer anyway. I dropped if off at the facility in Melville, NY on February 28, and it was ready for pickup on March 7.
