Here are some B&W images I took with my Pentax Q.
I love how I can set up this little guy to get the kind of images I want in B&W. All the pics were shot hand held with available light.
For those not familiar with this camera, it was billed as the world's smallest ICL camera when it came out. Being so small it is very hardly noticed when I am out shooting with it.

Very nice. The Pixie 127 took me back about 50 years. I think that's what got me interested in photography to begin with. Good job on the lamps in the window, too:-)

I'm not familiar with this camera. Are these straight out of the camera, or converted?

Thanks, JackM

These are the way they come out of the camera, I have it setup to take B&W images the way I want. I mostly only use this camera for B&W shooting, even though it can do color very nicely too.

If you would like some info on this camera, here is a link to a good review of it. It has been replaced by some newer model Qs but I like the original one best as it has the magnesium alloy body the others don't.

Thanks for the info Steve. That's a nice looking camera. I used Pentax cameras way back in the 35mm days, my favorite was the KX, basically a K1000 with mirror lockup.

Too bad the Pentax Q doesn't have a viewfinder. If it did, it would be perfect for my big trip coming up.

I had a K1000 back in the day, it was my first serious camera. And I have one still now, with the brown leatherette covering instead of the usual black.

I have an LCD viewer that attaches magnetically to the back when I need to go that route.

Nice series Soul Dr. I find B&W photos of the items in the antique store to be particularly appealing.
