If the incumbent isn't playing golf, he's playing basketball. So I'll use a term that will be familiar to him-- "full court press".

The incumbent must be pushing his cabinet on a full court press to get people enrolled in his medical plan.

For the first time in 30 years, I received a letter from the Veterans Admin advising me that I am eligible through the VA to buy health insurance. The letter said that according to their records, I never bought health coverage -- I am a retired fed employee so I have my coverage through the federal health insurance program. Apparently, that must not in any of my federal records-- including the VA's.

I just stay away from all the discussion/spin programs and watch just a newscast or two or better yet, read reports on internet where I can get several different versions. Whatever happened to us moderates?

In spite of what you will hear, Fox DOES give both sides of an argument (why else would they have the viewpoints and opinions of Bob Beckel, Alan Colmes, various Democrat advisors, Geraldo Rivera, Karl Rove -- all progressive liberals in spite of their titles or the parties to which they belong). You will get stories on Fox that the other media, which are totally invested in the progressive mindset, will ridicule, downplay, or purposely NOT report. For example, you never hear reports heavily critical of Obama or the Clintons from the "mainstream media" of MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, the New York Times, et.al. while they all play a continual drumbeat of criticisms against conservative lifestyles, viewpoints, and leaders as well as talk show hosts and Fox News. Rush, Hannity, Beck, Levine all champion the conservative voice although they each may all disagree to some extent with how the others portray different facets of the conservative message.

And please note: "Conservative" does NOT equal Republican/Right -- too many Republican politicians now have moved away from a true conservative platform to a progressive viewpoint as they're more concerned with how their appearance/viewpoints will be presented by the "mainstream media". These politicians are RINO's -- Republican In Name Only. Examples are John "NoBalls" Boehner, Mitch McConnell, John McCain (unfortunately, leaders in the Republican Party), and they're more concerned with re-election and power than they are with adherence to conservatism and the Constitution. And don't be thrown off by progressive B.S. -- true conservatives ARE strict Constitutionalist.

Accordingly, based on your message, I'd say you favor the conservative message which, in my opinion, is usually heavily based on truth (with, of course, media spin based on the bias and ego of the reporter -- see Bill O'Reilly), whereas the liberal progressive message usually buries the truth under rhetorical hog droppings to justify their lifestyle's desire for acceptability as provided by the fist of government entities ranging from the local to the federal. As in the case of this president, time usually strips away the manure to reveal the truth hidden by all the liberal emotional ranting or lack of reporting.

Your best bet is to continue sampling all media to determine what is, to you, the truth, and to determine who you trust to deliver the truth. If you're open-minded, and can ignore the ad hominem attacks and argumentative misdirection/obfuscations of the subject under discussion by those who disagree, then the truth will become apparent, as well as to whom you can depend upon to provide that truth.

Thank you for your answer , I watch Fox as well as a few others , at least with Fox I get an idea of what's going on , and I can see the others shoving down our throat a bunch of lies and blaming others . I hope this Country will survive .

I enjoy watching Fox news and then watching the mainstream media. 2 completely different views of same news. Mainstream news tends to down play everything that makes the democratic party look bad and criticizes anything the republicans do, good or bad. It's unfortunate that media can't deliver an unbiased news cast. That goes for all of them, fox included.
