After looking at the UHH postings and perusing the DPReview remember that most stuff out there is initiated by VPs of Marketing and their role in life is to make you dissatisfied with what you have.

Well, I must say that worked - up to a point. I was under tremendous pressure from the folks on UHH to get a D610 and a D7100. Now that I have them, I am completely satisfied, and I see no new cameras in my future. Really!

So Jerry can you tell me why I need the 610 when I have the d7100:-) or should I make a note to self as Jim suggests.

Is that why there are so many new UHH members asking about wide angle lenses at the moment?
Seems like this happens quite frequently.
A heap of new members arrive, all asking the same question, some asking it in different ways, then a month later it happens again with a different question, and then a month later ........... etc etc etc

Could also be the cause of the "never used a camera before, what DSLR should I buy" posts too.

Sounds like a conspiracy to me.

Glad I just like to buy stuff without over thinking it, just a little research, then bam! When technolust strikes, there's only one way to satisfy it.

Yes, they did seem to come in a rush too, now that you mention it.

It's full frame, so you'll have one of each. If someone asks if you shoot DX/FX, you can answer yes to both questions. You can put a tele on the D7100 and get greater range, and you can put a wide angle on the D600. Put one on each shoulder, and you're ready for anything. Both cameras have almost identical controls, so switching from one to the other doesn't require even average intelligence. There are many more reasons, but I've forgotten them.

Enjoy shooting twice as much.

Not even another Canon ??
I'm trying to get everything I can out of my 2 50D's and waiting for a deal on a 5D mark III.

You must be one of the few Hogs that doesn't suffer from GAS*.

I did that with the Sony A99 and the A77, and love them both equally for different reasons. I also have the EM-1, which is a horse of a different feather, altogether. All are fine cameras, to be sure!
