Thought this quick sunset turned out rather well

I wanted to have some foreground interest (e.g., the reeds) without distracting from the sun setting in the background. I purposely left the F/G dark - a couple of experiments with a Grad ND didn't get me the separation I wanted. This is with no filtration, "Cloudy" WB and otherwise SOOC, with the 10-22 lens.

That is really quite beautiful. Nice rich colors and great composition.

Jim,...did you happen upon this scene ( timing wise) ?
I am thinking 10 minutes before or after this moment would have been totally different shots.
The foreground silhouette makes the shot for me , too. Great capture, as always brother.

Thanks all. I'm lucky in that we get photogenic sunsets here all the time, and there are not many East Coast'ers who get see the sun set over the water.
