Needing some assistance here!! I've bitten the bullet and decided to enter 6 of my photos into an exhibition here. My problem is framing. Not wanting to go with a $20 special from Wally's, yet can't afford the $100 tag from a local frame shop either. After nearly going blind using the UHH search feature, I am still unable to find any of the framing company websites I know I've seen other members use. Would consider it a big favor if someone might point out a few. Please & Thanks in advance.

I would suggest looking at the Nielsen Bainbridge frames. One source is:

What size frame and mat are you looking for? E.g., 8X10 in an 11X14 frame? What kind of frames does the exhibition require?

Adorama and MPIX offer framing along with printing
8x10 matted into an 11x14. Long as all identical, it doesn't matter, and wanting to go wood. Thinking black on black in a flat wood.
FrameDestination.com I've been using them for years and have been able to get custom sized frames and mats for a very reasonable price.
Michaels Craft Shops, a national chain, has a large selection of all types of frames and mats at reasonable prices. My wife has discovered she can actually get me into a crafts store by telling me she is going to Michaels!

Michaels is a good frame choice, as is Hobby Lobby if you have either one near you.

Check out Cheap Pete's or Aaron Brothers. They are both here in San Francisco and are quite affordable. Not sure how much to ship though. Both will come up on Google.

I have used these people for years and they are excellent. You can upload a jpg and view it with various mats and frames.

I've used American Frame for many of my prints and have been pleased with the results. They also offer a large range of archival matts. Their site allows you to upload a low-res file of your image so that you can accurately visualize the end result.

If you have a frame store (not a chain) near you, they have all prices. I had some 81/2 x 11's matted & framed for $35.00 each.

I buy mine from K-Mart (similar to your Wall Mart) for $8 -10 each, mostly for 10 X 8 but some to fit 14 X 11...won several awards for my photography and never has a judge said they didn't like the frame...
They come in black, white, gold, silver and timber...
None of the comps have ever dictated what type of frame I should use either...
I've been very happy with Pictureframes.com.
