I am sick and can't go out and play with it so just been playing around with things in the house and driving my cats nuts. Tell me what you think you won't hurt my feeling I know they aren't very good and I have a lot to learn.

Nice images. I just got a D5100 also. I am having to learn the camera and the lighting. I have not been able to get out much either but I have a lot of fun and frustrating moments at the same time.

Very nice. Most are tack sharp... The candles are my favorite. The pine one is nice as well. I would do some post processing to that one to underexpose the background. Still nice...watch the harsh shadows. Crank up the ISO and try shooting without the flash Great. Have fun with it and get well

Definitely a nice start with a new camera, looks like you're using the on camera flash. A very worthwhile investment is an external flash. You will be amazed by the results. You're doing the right thing by driving you cats crazy and practicing.

Cute subjects. I don't consider myself a professional, but try shooting without a flash if you can.

Try the selective colors feature - I think you will love that feature. You can select up to three colors and the rest of your photo will be black and white.

Bev. It is really hard to comment when you have so many photos posted. Try just posted a couple at a time and you will get better reviews. Initially, I think your focus point is a little off your target on some. Good subject though.
