Again I am in awe of your (both of you) abilities. Wonderful work. Thanks for the penny to give perspective on the size.
Erv, Great job on the fur of the Saint Bernard, I mean they are are great carvings and for such small pieces, truly amazing ! I have been working on a standing Grizzly Bear for the past year, he`s 10 foot tall, and I`m having the hardest time with the fur. You made it look so easy on your dog. I`m going to look at your dog very closely and see if I can pick
up any tips. Thanks for posting these ! Dennis

Erv: Love your work. I am also a carver and teach at the Sr. Center here in Huntington Beach CA. I have tried to post pictures but having difficulty as Computers are an alien item for me. Great work I like seeing what others are carving and taking pictures of.
You are an amazing pair of artists.
Great job Erv!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Erv Which woods do you prefer to carve
Erv you have a wagon load of talent excelent job very life like without the penny they look like they could just walk off the table.
I like them all, but love the St Bernard. It reminds me of the one we had. He was the best dog ever. Superb work by both of you!

Got these done about 2 weeks ago and Janny got them painted for me. The Saint Bernard is a friends dog. He wanted me to try. Took me awhile to get this one right. And Janny did the coat painting off a picture I took. So it looks just like their dog.:) I wanted to get a picture of it before they came to get it.:) So I just did them all. Lighting isn't real good. And I was feeling lazy.:)

You and Janny make a great team Erv.
So sorry I am late here, but I did want to stop and reply, Erv. I am awed! The detail you carve is extraordinary and Janny's work enhances it even more. I hope you can pass this talent, skill & love to your sons and grandson the same way your grandfather did you. Just a thrill to see.
Erv, your carvings and Janny's paintings are unbelievable. But how in the world do you find time to do these?
