Lightroom 5 vs P Elements 12 or something else for face recognition

I'm moving to a new computer and have installed Lightroom 5 and Photoshop Elements 12 for use, but have never used either one before. On my old computer I used Picasa for face recognition, which I use a lot to find pictures for projects. I have moved about 30,000 pictures. I did make a catalog in Lightroom, but do not see anything about face recognition.
Can someone tell me if either Lightroom of PE12 has face recognition?

I did not want to put Picasa on my new computer but if it is the best for face recognition, I'll put it on. It is excellent but takes a lot of time to establish.

I have all kinds of software on my computer including LR, Elements and Photoshop. Elements does have facial recognition but (my opinion of course) it does not compare with Picasa favourably.

I have Picasa purely for facial recognition which it excels at.

I am hopeless at remembering faces, so a quick glance at Picasa before I leave for a meeting gets me out of so much trouble.

Thanks, that is the conclusion I came to, but did not know if it was right.

OnOne V8 is the best photo prosessing softwate. It's facial reconition reconizes one or mutable faces. Rather than give you a long description go to www.ononesoftware.com and look at their videos.
The program can be purchased sepertly, but I use the whole suite.

This is the very reason I gave up on face recognition. It's whiz-bang technology, but nowhere near mature, which is why you don't see more of it.

Proper keywording gives the same (or better) functionality, and that is supported by nearly all software.

Actually, the only thing I use picassa for is face recognition. IMHO It is far and above better than what elements can provide.
